Wake up! Nashville has a game from last week to shake them out of their lethargy. They fell to Dallas 2-9 at home. It came shortly after falling in another home game 2-4 to New Jersey. Coach Andrew Brunnette lamented that his players were on vacation. But he wasn’t referring to the vacation they had just had (they returned from a bye week associated with the All-Star Game).

He meant the time off that the players were supposed to get this week in Las Vegas. The team was playing there, and the players were allowed to go a day early to attend a U2 concert at a brand new attraction known as The Sphere (it’s a giant, sphere-shaped stadium that still has a light projection on the inside).

Only, after such an embarrassing performance at home, everything was cancelled. The players didn’t go. Coach and GM Barry Trotz simply sent a clear message to the fans. The players need to be held accountable. And they really responded the way they should have. On the road trip, they first beat St. Louis 5-2 (they are fighting for a playoff spot), then beat Vegas 5-3, and finally beat Los Angeles 4-1 in a very tough game. Now they’re facing the relatively weakest team in San Jose.

Jusse Saros, who I guess he heard was supposed to be available on the transfer market, will be in goal. He was especially great against LA in the last game.

What to bet on:

San Jose has been in shambles all season, they’re the second worst team. They’ve lost four of their last five games and now face a team with a lot of resolve. The ticket is a clean two.
