Turin failed again in the double-header with the Roman sides, first losing 0:2 to Lazio in the playoffs and then falling to AS (2:3) away last Monday.Fiorentina, on the other hand, made up for their previous hesitations on the same day, turning around a 2:1 home draw with Lazio to move up to seventh place.

Torino had more of the game in Rome, but it wasn’t enough for points. However, coach Ivan Juric praised his charges for – in his opinion – dominating the pitch and said he still believes in the possibility of qualifying for the European Cups. Torino will want to take advantage of the home environment, where they have lost only twice this season (6-5-2), despite the fact that they have scored only 14 goals here (8 cashed).

That record is history, as Vincenzo Italiano’s charges turned around a crucial cup game with Lazio (2-1) after an excellent performance and are back in the cups. Fiorentina made amends for the previous lacklustre performances against Bologna (0-2) and Empoli (1-1), and the same determined bunch as in the autumn was again visible. The key will be to maintain this deployment, which probably won’t be easy, as the run of four away games without a win (0-1-3) suggests.

What to bet on:

Torino are confident of qualifying for the European Cups and if they win, they can come within one point of Fiorentina. Its excellent home defence (only Inter and Bologna have scored fewer goals at home) will help it break a two-match losing streak. The visitors will prove that they are not quite there yet.
