Jiri Lehecka is a strong favourite for the US Open second round match against home team Mitchell Krueger. However, he said after his match with Marton Fucsovics that he expects a rather tough match and a long battle, as Krueger is a specialist on hard surfaces and he plays on home soil.

Vít Kopřiva has already felt the American’s qualities in the qualification round, when he lost twice 3:6 to Krueger in the opening round of the main competition. Subsequently, Krueger managed to win two more matches and advance to the main tournament, where he defeated Frenchman Hugo Grenier in the opening round.

Lehecka is well aware of the qualities his upcoming opponent possesses. Despite the fact that he is ranked only in the second 100 in the world.
