Four points after three games is not a disappointment for Lazio, but certainly not a success. However, the last home draw with AC Milan certainly made up for the loss in Udine. Verona also made amends for their last wobble (Juventus 0-3) with a 2-0 win in Genoa.

Lazio didn’t beat Milan, but besides Taty Castellanos, Boulaye Dia, who arrived at the end of the transfer window, also scored. Thus, coach Marco Baroni seems to have discovered (along with Mattia Zaccagni) a very promising offensive trio that could change the direction of his season a lot. After all, the offense is unlikely to be a problem, as Lazio have already scored six goals, a total only surpassed by Inter before this round.

Verona had great success in the last round. In fact, the team that was pegged as one of the main candidates for relegation won two of its first three games, playing against Napoli, Juventus and away at Genoa. Coach Paolo Zanetti was very complimentary of the latest result and said his team was holding together well, with changes having been made again in a Verona plagued by financial problems over the summer. How much longer will Hellas continue to surprise?

What to bet on:

Lazio will again start with the Castellanos-Dia-Zaccagni trio and the match could be similar to their clash with the newcomer from Venezia. Verona will be very erratic this season, as proven by their win against Napoli and subsequent loss to Juventus. Lazio will win and put themselves among the top teams this season.
