In the twenty-seventh round of the Hockey Extraliga, Litvínov hosts Hradec Králové, second in the table. The difference between the two teams is currently eight points. In both games this season, the home team has always won by two goals.

Verva have won the last three rounds in a row before the national break. In the last one Litvínov won 1:0 against Trinec. Šimon Zajicek, the best goalie in the league, extended his unstoppable streak by not scoring for over 143 minutes. In addition to that, he had another zero in the national jersey in Switzerland over the weekend. As far as home games are concerned, Litvínov has lost only one of the last seven. In the previous four away games, however, Hradec did not fare too well, scoring just one point.
