The thirty-fifth round of the Hockey Extraliga will end with a duel between second Sparta and twelfth Vítkovice. In both matches of the current season, the home team has won by three points each time.

Sparta won its fifth game in a row, beating Mladá Boleslav 2-1 after overtime in Tuesday’s round. Although the Prague team’s performance was weaker than in previous games, they still managed to take two valuable points thanks to their fight. Josef Kořenář gave a traditionally great performance in goal, who ranks third in the whole competition behind Litvínov’s two goalkeepers. Sparta was missing the trio of forwards Sobotka, Kousal and Hrabík for various reasons. In the last four home games, coach Gross’s charges lost only two points and scored a total of twenty goals.

Vítkovice, on the other hand, are not doing well at all, having failed to score a point in their last four games. In the last round Ridera fell in České Budějovice 2:3. The duel was decided by the second period, in which the home team scored three times and the Ostravians only dramatized the game with two goals in the final period. Vítkovice were clearly inferior except for a stretch in the third period, as evidenced by a 40-to-20 shots on goal ratio for the Motor. There are very few positives to be found in the Riders’ game at the moment. The lead over last-place Liberec has already shrunk to six points.

What to bet on:

Sparta has looked very good in recent games and will win against the struggling Vítkovice, who have fallen in their last three away games in a row. One on the ticket.
