Instead of the expected Wallachian derby between Zlín and Vsetín, which was played in the previous two seasons, this year Dukla Jihlava made it to the final at the expense of Vsetín.

The paper favourite is the Seamans, but we can expect an even series. Dukla knocked out top-seeded Vsetín after a seven-game series, once again confirming that they are a typical playoff team that plays better in the playoffs than in the regular season.

Even the offensive machine of Vsetín broke its teeth on the tenacious Jihlava, which came up empty in two games and in the decisive game at Lapac, Adam Beran defended a 3-1 victory. But Ujcik’s team also has offensive weapons, with four Jihlava players among the top seven scorers in the playoffs, led by matador Čachotský.

What to bet on:

Jihlava won all four games in the regular season, but that will be erased in the playoffs. Dukla played in Vsetín on Sunday and the Czechs will want to take advantage of that.
