Our tip: Angola – Cameroon: less than 1.5 goals in the match

The highlight of Tuesday’s World Cup qualifying programme in Africa is the match between the teams that have realistic hopes of advancing directly from first place.
Cameroon hold it after three rounds, beating Mauritius 3-0 at home and Cape Verde 4-1, meanwhile they drew 1-1 with Libya on neutral ground in Benin. Only Egypt and Ivory Coast have scored more goals in qualifying, but at least now Cameroon’s goal machine should be stuck. The Lions’ previous opponents have been poor defensively, while Angola, on the other hand, have relied on perfect organisation and solid defensive play.
Along with Ivory Coast and Tunisia, they are the last teams in the qualifiers that have yet to score. For now, however, that is only good enough for third place in the group. After two away goalless draws (Cape Verde, Mauritius), the Black Antelopes only got their first win in their third game at home against Eswatini, and all they needed was a second-minute goal from a single shot on target.
What to bet on:
If the game ends 0-0, it won’t be a surprise. In the last six games between the two teams, only three goals have been scored in the 1-0 win. Even now, no more than one goal will be scored.
Confidence:
7/10
