Arizona is losing ground. The Coyotes have shown by their performances this season that they want to make the playoffs, but those efforts have taken a hit in recent weeks. The team is on a seven-game losing streak and has dropped to 13th in the Western Conference table, ten points behind the top eight.

In this not-so-good mood, Arizona will welcome Carolina, who have won five of their last seven games and moved up to fourth place in the Eastern Conference. The Hurricanes also managed to beat Arizona during this successful season, 3-1 in late January.

Why did Arizona stop doing well? Out of form goalie Connor Ingram, who was the central figure in the rise of this young and predatory team. And against an offensively gifted Carolina, it will be extremely difficult for Ingram, or even possibly Vejmelka, who hasn’t been very reliable lately.

What to bet on:

Arizona is out of shape and would need to play a few games against weaker opponents to regain some confidence. Carolina is definitely not a weaker opponent and it will show on the ice.
