Liberec were definitely closer to the elite six than Bohemians, if Plechatý hadn’t started before the last round, they probably would have made it. The leader of Slovan’s defence was noticeably absent, but the team had not scored once in the previous five matches with him on the pitch. Now Plechatý is back and the visitors’ defence will be stronger than the home team’s, and Liberec will not be under pressure for a long time, so they could sell their footballiness, which is definitely there.

The northern Czechs were much better in the regular season not only defensively but also up front, scoring 13 more goals. Raimonds Krolis shot to solid performances during the spring part, scoring six times in 9 games, and the interplay with the rest of the team can go up even more.

Bohemians, on the other hand, ended the regular season in a huge slump, losing four competitive games (league + cup) in a row, yet coincidentally they moved up from 11th to 10th and “have a break”. But fans, coach and players are disappointed and changes in the squad will follow, with the departure of up to five players being hinted at. Under such pressure, the team will not be playing at its best. In addition, the Kangaroos have not fared well in home games throughout the season.

One of the few things that favors the home team is the mutual balance, as they have won twice and drawn three times out of the last five games.

What to bet on:

Liberec would like to break the Bohemians complex, coach Kováč is still motivated to show his best to the owners. The visitors are the better team and with better current form.
