Ceske Budejovice’s misery is growing to enormous proportions, the team has lost its sixth game in a row and it is already clear that it will fight for survival this year.

The club’s management changed coaches during the season and under Straka the decline has not been halted. The highlight was the weekend defeat at Dukla by a class difference of 0:3. Under the new coach the team has not scored yet and conceded a total of ten goals. The total score thus grew to a horrible 1:19, and a shred of hope is hardly to be found.

At least the fact that Bohemians, an extremely popular opponent for the home team, will visit Střelecký ostrov gives the home team a small spark of hope. The South Bohemians have not had such a positive record with anyone else recently, winning five out of six games and drawing once, and not losing a point at home. But these are just statistics, the work has to be done by the players on the pitch, and they are grossly failing.

Budějovice have good moments in every game, but there are many more bad ones. Tomas Holý is on trial at the club, the tall goalkeeper could increase competition at the goalkeeper position.

Bohemka fell at home to Jablonec (1:2) in the last round, and so they are going to the south of Bohemia for three points. The complex from previous years doesn’t change that. The Prague club is not bad at all, but the team is struggling in the end. Compared to the preparation, the midfield has stopped scoring goals, which coach veselý needs to revive. In any case, the central formation will have to do without one of its flanks, Dostál is injured and will be out for a longer period of time.

In any case, the visitors will be active and will work out some chances in the end, given the inferior quality of the home defence they might finally convert one.

What to bet on:

Mutual duels speak for Budějovice, but the numbers from this season favor the visitors. Bohemians will score against the worst defence in the league and take three points from the south of Bohemia for the first time in a long time.
