Chelsea responded to their 0-2 loss to Manchester City in the best possible way, beating Wolverhampton 6-2 in the second round. On the other hand, Crystal Palace’s home performance against West Ham (0:2) ended in defeat.

The star of Chelsea’s last league game was clearly Noni Madueke. In fact, the young 22-year-old winger scored a hat-trick within 15 minutes and combined with his previous goal in qualifying for Europe, he has scored four times in his first two duels for the Blues. New coach Enzo Maresca can therefore be satisfied.

An angry coach after a home defeat is nothing new. Oliver Glasner suffered only his second since joining Crystal Palace. However, Glasner complained that the club’s summer performance in the transfer market was very poor. He said the departures of Olise, Andersen and Ayew were not compensated enough. Will Palace be weaker than in the spring?
