It’s time. Edmonton should close out this series tonight. They’re up 3-1 in the series. So far, he’s shown that everything is working the way it should. The stars are fantastic- Connor McDavid is the most productive player with 10 points. Zach Hyman has scored 6 goals already. The Oilers power play is working, their success rate is 53 percent. Goaltender Stuart Skinner is excellent and stole last game, catching 33 shots and Edmonton won by an uncharacteristic 1-0 score. Complementary players like Evander Kane and Dylan Holloway also added a hand.
The Kings, on the other hand, have a problem. Their stars have to be excellent every game, and so far that hasn’t been the case with the exception of the latter. Anže Kopitar and Drew Doughty have tremendous experience and although they are playing well in this series, they are coming out of a straight up star power battle the losers. The shorthanded power play, the team’s strength, hasn’t been enough so far to match the brilliant ideas of Leon Draisaitl, Connor McDavid and the shot of Evan Bouchard. The Kings’ best player so far is 21-year-old Quinton Byfield, and that’s saying something. The Kings are a team built on strength and good defense, but that’s where they fail the most.
What to bet on:
Edmonton has won twice on the road and takes home a comfortable 3-1 series lead. Orange hell will break loose and the Oilers may well blow out the Kings in the first period. Bet on the home team to win.
Trust:
6/10
