Frosinone lost 0:1 to relegation-threatened Sassuolo in the last round, and given their only win in the previous 15 league games, we can’t be surprised that Eusebio Di Francesco’s charges are falling towards the league basement. Lazio, on the other hand, lost for the third time in a row in the league last time out and had to say goodbye to their Champions League hopes for good, while other European cups remain in great danger for them. As a result, coach Maurizio Sarri has resigned.

Although Frosinone have won 21 of their 24 points on home soil, they have won just once here in the new calendar year (1-1-3), completing their retreat from glory. In terms of the last 15 games, it is then, along with Salernitana, the worst in the league (6 points), conceding 36 goals in that period – the most of any side.

Lazio are far from comfortable, but away they are one of the better sides this year’s Serie A has to offer (6-1-7). The visitors have then won three of their last five away games (each time at the ground of a team from the bottom half of the table), twice by a two-goal difference.
