Although Ladislav Krejci was praised by the Spanish media for his performance against Real Madrid, he did not prevent the expected defeat at the ground of the favourite. Girona lost 0:2 in the Spanish capital, their seventh defeat in their last eight competitive matches (1-0-7). The miserable series relegated the third team of last season to the thirteenth place.

Saturday’s opponent Girona has picked up one more point in the league so far, which puts Celta in tenth place in the balanced mid-table.
