Liberec entered the spring with a win over Olomouc, but since then the team has been picking up only draws and defeats, and has also dropped out of the cup. This is not a very good card for coach Kozel, who must be wary, after all the new owner is very ambitious and demanding.

The home team is thus under partial pressure, and against the last Karviná team it needs to work hard. Liberec continues to be plagued by a number of medical (Bačkovský, Frýdek, Plechatý) and card absences (Doumbia), but at home they are the fourth best team in the FORTUNA:LIGA, just behind the big three (Sparta, Slavia, Plzen), and that counts. At Nisa, the team has confidence and plays actively and offensively.

Karviná is not complete either, Ayaosi and Ezeh are on cards, even more annoying are the medical absences, Mikus and Budinski would be in the starting lineup. The home environment and Karviná’s poor defensive performance favour Liberec quite clearly. There are absences on both sides, but more noticeable for the visitors. Karviná dominated the last match, but the visitors are currently out of phase. Number one.
