The Los Angeles Kings are in an excellent fourth place in the Western Conference, but it could have been a lot better. In fact, there has been a slight drop in form in the last two weeks, and the Kings have lost three of their last five games. But after a short road trip, they came back in front of their own fans and Detroit took it, beating LA 4-1.

The Kings will look to build on that win at home against Buffalo. They faced the Sabres earlier this season, winning 3-1 at their opponent’s rink.

Buffalo has been plagued by some erratic performances this season. After solid performances against stronger teams, they are able to fall short against teams they should be beating if they want to end the long streak of seasons without playoffs. The Sabres have two losses in their last three games and are only 13th in the Eastern Conference, where only Montreal, Detroit and Columbus are worse teams by just one point.

What to bet on:

Los Angeles has a very interesting mix of predatory youth and experienced scouts on its roster. Against Buffalo, which still can’t put together a winning team, the Kings will notch another win in regulation time. The odds continue to hold at an interesting level.
