A trio of rescheduled games will round off the twenty-ninth round this weekend with a seemingly interesting duel between Lyon and Brest, two teams that have rarely dropped points in recent weeks. While the hosts are still looking to challenge for the European Cup, the visitors from Brittany would like to stay in the top 3 and make their Champions League debut next season. Who will be closer to their goal after the upcoming match?

Another away game, another awesome turnaround. That’s exactly how you could describe Lyon’s last league game, played at Nantes, where it looked for a long time like they wouldn’t get the valuable three points this time. Brest travel to Lyon’s soil after a 4-3 home shootout with Metis, which could potentially indicate an evenly matched duel, but if not for underestimating the opponent in the final stages of the match, the “Pirates” would have gone on to a clear victory by more than two goals. The performance in the first half was one of the best in the current season and it must be noted that the score could have been even more significant. In Lyon, coach Éric Roy’s Breton side will be looking for their first ever win at this opponent’s ground, having not won once in their nine previous meetings since 1990 (0-4-5), scoring just five goals.

What to bet on?

Both teams are definitely not lacking form, so we can expect an even match that probably won’t bring many goals. It could easily result in a draw, which Brest have won three times in a row on the ground of Lyon in the previous years (2:2, 1:1, 0:0). I’ll bet on a draw on Sunday as well, as part of a double chance where we will see it either at half-time or at the end of the match.
