Manchester City came through in the last round, winning 2-0 at newcomer Leicester to move into sixth place a point ahead of Bournemouth. West Ham ended 2024 ingloriously, losing 0-5 to Liverpool and remaining in the second half of the table.

Only on five occasions during Coach Guardiola’s tenure has Manchester City had a lower percentage of ball possession than their opponents in a league game.
