Mladá Boleslav and Kometa will play in the twenty-fourth round of the Hockey Extraliga.Mladá Boleslav is eight points behind its Sunday opponent. Brno won 4:2 at home in their first game of the season.

After home wins over Sparta and Litvínov, Boleslav traveled to Hradec Kralove on Friday. The skaters held a one-goal lead for a long time, but the home team turned the game over to their side in the third period within one minute. Boleslav was clearly the worse team throughout the game, had worse movement and sent only 14 shots on goal. If it wasn’t for the great Jan Ruzicka in goal, who made 45 saves, the goal difference would have been much more significant. The skaters have to put this game behind them and follow up the previous two home games against Litvínov and Sparta, in which their performance was two classes better.

After losing 6:5 after overtime in České Budějovice, Kometa traveled to Vítkovice on Friday. Brno again did not give a very good performance and fell 5:2. Kamil Pokorný’s charges failed to get into the extra league pace after the national break. They took only one win out of five games and their performance is very uneven. As far as away games are concerned, Kometa has won only in Liberec at the end of October. If Brno wants to get closer to fourth place, which is held by Boleslav, they need to improve their game.
