Old friends meet in Montpellier. They have nine French players on their roster who became European champions in January, five on the home side, four away. But the key ones wear the Veszprem jersey – Remili was named MVP of the tournament, Fabregas the best pivot.

At the same time, it will be a clash of table neighbours, but they are separated by a six-point gap, which Montpellier can no longer close in the final two rounds and will advance to the eighth round from either fourth or fifth place. Veszprém have more motivation, they are still in the game for direct promotion, they are only two points behind second-placed Magdeburg, who they host in the last round.
