Emma Navarro is an elite concrete player and is in impeccable form at the US Open. The American tennis player has faced some very good opponents and on two occasions even defied paper expectations, knocking out last year’s defending champion Coco Gauff and Spain’s Paula Badosa in two sets in the quarterfinals.

The home hope wants to continue her successful journey through the New York Grand Slam on Friday night, when she faces world number two Aryna Sabalenka. Last year’s finalist lost just one set in the third round and in the quarter-finals she conceded just three games to China’s Qin Wen Cheng.

This year Sabalenka and Navarrova have faced each other twice. Sabalenka won on clay in Paris, but Navarrova won in three sets on concrete in Indian Wells.

What to bet on:

Although Sabalenka is the clear favourite for the clash, Navarro will not go down without a fight. She’ll give her opponent a hard time and whoever wins will play at least 20 games.
