Stefanos Tsitsipas is one of the best clay court players on the ATP circuit today, and he has been successful for a long time, especially in Monte Carlo. He even won the Monaco Masters in 2021 and 2022, and alongside the Tournament of Champions, these are the biggest trophies in his collection.

Tsitsipas was understandably looking forward to the clay part of the season this year too, especially after a somewhat embarrassing performance in the hard surface tournaments. In Monte Carlo, however, he recovered and reached the quarter-finals without losing a set as he managed to take down another very good clay player, Alexander Zverev, in the eighth round.

In the quarterfinals Tsitsipas will face Karen Khachanov, who has been much more successful on concrete throughout his career and clay is not one of his strong surfaces. The advantage of Tsitsipas is definitely the fact that he can take on Khachanov. After all, he has beaten him in seven of their nine matches.

What to bet on:

Tsitsipas likes the Monte Carlo tournament a lot. He has won it twice and traditionally opens the clay part of the season strong. He can succeed in Friday’s quarter-final and beat Khachanov.
