Aryna Sabalenka returns to the courts for the first time since the Australian Open, where she won her second career Grand Slam title a few weeks ago. She basically whizzed to the title, winning all seven of her matches without losing a set.

For her comeback she chose the tournament in Dubai, where her best result so far is three times reaching the quarterfinals. She would like to break that this year and her opening match will offer her a relatively easy opponent in Croatia’s Donna Vekić, whom she has beaten five times.

Twenty-seven-year-old Vekic opened the tournament in Dubai in the opening round (in which Sabalenka had a bye), beating Xin-Yu Wang of China in two sets. However, that is a slightly different level of opponent than world number two and Grand Slam champion Sabalenka.

What to bet on:

Sabalenka is the clear favorite in this match. Last year she beat the Croatian in two sets on the concrete court in Melbourne 6:3, 6:2. She will build on that result in Dubai and win by at least six games.
